Definition
Power is the total electrical energy delivered every second. It is the combined result of both voltage and current
The Problem That Led to It
Measuring only voltage (energy per charge) or current (charges per second) couldn't reveal the actual total work being done. Engineers needed a unified measurement to track the true total rate of energy transfer
What Problem It Solves
It multiplies voltage and current to calculate the total energy delivered per second, known as Watts.
What Happens If Not Used
You cannot determine the actual energy reaching your devices or properly size equipment like solar inverters.

Power is the actual rate at which electrical energy is delivered to do work .
Layman Example
Truck A brings 10 bricks once a minute. Truck B brings 5 bricks twice a minute. Both deliver exactly 10 bricks per minute (total power).
Technical Example
Before: Knowing a system uses 48V or 12V doesn't reveal its total output.
After: A 4800W load can be supplied by 48V at 100A or 12V at 400A; the total power delivered is identical.
Limitation
Knowing total power doesn't reveal system efficiency or how much heat the cables will generate
Solution
We must study Resistance to calculate these physical heat losses and size our system safely.
